Two classes at La Contenta Middle School made rope toys and no sew blankets for the pets at Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter. We also had help from an 8th grade Honors class and our school’s SLP, Ms. Humeston. We followed the 1 page instructions for each project provided on Paws Up Projects website. It was fun working together!
Rope Toys and Blankets
Biggest Takeaway:
- It was fun deciding on which color and patterns to put together for the blankets. It was also fun cutting up the t-shirts and matching colors for the rope toys. The best part was working together knowing we were making something for shelter pets.
Biggest Challenge
- Our biggest challenge was tying the knots for the no sew blankets. It wasn’t hard, but you had to make sure you didn’t miss any knots.
Project Impact:
- We made A LOT of blankets and rope toys and were so happy to donate them Joshua Tree No-Kill shelter pets! We hope to do more projects next school year, too!
Participants:
