To celebrate DOGust, the official Birthday month for shelter dogs, our volunteer and local “celebrity artists” will be creating custom poorly drawn portraits. You’ll never know what you will get, but guaranteed to bring a smile to your face and care to the animals in our shelter! Find more details HERE!
Poorly Drawn Pets Fundraiser
Biggest Takeaway:
- This is a very fun way to involve community and support our shelter at the same time. We charge $20 per custom portrait so it is accessible to a wide audience. Easily replicable fundraiser for us and any shelter/rescue!
Biggest Challenge
- The biggest challenge is to get the word out. One way we do that is thru social media. We post every custom portrait done so it promotes the fundraiser and at the same time makes people smile and is a positive for our shelter.
Project Impact:
- This is a one of a few fundraisers that we are doing this “Dogust” to raise $10,000. The financial impact along with community support allows us to continue our life-saving work.
Participants:
- Volunteer artists at Animal Samaritans
