During our middle school elective class (Animal Care & Welfare), a group of us planned, promoted and held a “Pizza For Pets” sale after school. We put together posters, made announcements on the school loudspeaker and held “pre-sales” during lunch time. We contacted Domino’s pizza and ordered pizza that our teacher picked up the day of the sale. Besides selling pizza slices we also sold juice drinks and had a donations canister. We SOLD OUT in under 30 minutes and raised $375 for FAAS!
Pizza For Pets!
Biggest Takeaway:
- The FUN we had! Also we all agreed that we wouldn’t have normally known each other except for working on this project together. It was wonderful to raise money for FAAS!
Biggest Challenge
- Was coordinating the timeline of putting up posters to promote the sale and also organizing who would be able to do the pre-sale during lunch.
Project Impact:
- We feel that the Pizza For Pets sale alone let kids know that our animal shelter needs our help. It was amazing to see so many students come out and want to buy pizza to help!
