For her 8th birthday, Jaylin asked her friends to donate dog food in lieu of gifts. Jaylin has a huge heart for dogs. When she was seven months old she was introduced to her first dog, Miles. He was a huge part of their family for seven years but when he passed away it left a huge hole in Jaylin’s heart. As time went on, another dog joined her family, Lucy, who came from PAWS! While Lucy, an all-round cuddle bug that loves to lounge and chill, is the opposite of Miles, an active dog that loved to run and play, Jaylin’s heart was once again filled!
Her 8th birthday was for the dogs!
Biggest Takeaway:
- Jaylin wants all people to know that each step forward is a step closer to making a difference and that “dogs leave paw prints on our hearts.”
Biggest Challenge
- Learning about the amount of dogs that have no homes or are living outside in the cold and snow moved Jaylin and touched her heart, leading her to want to help all the dogs in the world.
Project Impact:
- Jaylin’s 8th birthday donation dog food drive in lieu of gifts was a HUGE success! She collected just over 150 pounds of dog food!
