We are middle school students who made posters to celebrate Global Cat Day which is on October 16th every year. We put the posters up around our school to let other kids/adults know that cats need our help. It was a great way to educate about spay/neuter, cat overpopulation, community cats and celebrate how cool cats are in general. Shout out to Alley Cats Allies who do amazing work on a global level and sponsor events on this day every year. Celebrate Global Cat Day!
Biggest Takeaway:
- That we had fun and learned about Global Cat Day and how important it is to help cats. We were very happy to teach other kids at our school about what spay/neuter is and how important it is to help cat overpopulation so all cats can live in forever homes or safely as community cats.
Biggest Challenge
- Was deciding what kind of posters to make – we wanted to make sure we all did something a little different.
Project Impact:
- We were so happy to teach other kids and adults on our school campus about cats and why Global Cat Day exists!
